My journey with IDFC FIRST Bank has been nothing short of wonderful. Coming from a competitor bank, I adjusted to the work culture quite easily and the countless new opportunities made IDFC FIRST Bank an exciting prospect for me from the get-go.  

As a Product Manager in the Toll & Transit business, my role spans across issuance, acquiring, and fuelling. I've grown with the Bank and taken on responsibilities across all three segments. It's been an incredible learning opportunity that was presented to me, and I’ve embraced it wholeheartedly.

The transparent culture and the autonomy to take decisions were aspects which positively struck me. My direct manager is highly supportive, and the leadership here at IDFC FIRST Bank empowers us, both professionally and personally. They encourage us to think holistically, consider the full 360° view of a situation, connect with people, understand their perspective, and then move forward with our decisions. Managers across teams are always approachable and constantly encourage us to seize opportunities. At our Bank, emphasis is placed on documenting our thought process and proceeding with our actions. 

Last year, I had the opportunity to present at an event akin to Shark Tank, where employees could present ideas to help with business growth. I proposed a concept for our FASTag customers. My proposal was awarded the second prize and implemented successfully. This project was like nurturing a seed into a fully grown plant that evolved into a viable business. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. 

At IDFC FIRST Bank, we are recognized for our potential and the Bank is willing to support our career paths, even if it means transitioning to different departments. It's not just about the opportunities; we are also given due recognition for our contributions. You are truly made to feel like you belong, from teammates to the higher ups. I admire our MD's message of growing alongside the Bank. Here, individual growth is as important as the Bank’s growth. Our team’s low turnover speaks volumes about our leadership. The support from management and the opportunity to grow within the Bank keeps me motivated.

The Bank places a strong focus on our learning. Last year, the learning team organized an immersive learning week for all employees, covering aspects such as changing attitudes, team building, agile working styles, and collaboration.  

Every year, apart from our daily responsibilities, we also sponsor the education of underprivileged girls – specifically the daughters of truck drivers – up to the age of 15. By supporting their education, we're empowering these young girls and uplifting their families. It's incredibly rewarding to hear them talk about the impact this support has on their lives. This sponsorship isn't just a side project; it's integrated into our business activities. It's a part of what we do and who we are as a team. It's heart touching initiatives like these that make me proud to be part of IDFC FIRST Bank.

Looking ahead I see a lot of opportunities for growth within my team and across the Bank. I strongly support the culture here which is about the work you do, not just the title you hold.
